Selecting your orientation dates

Orientation is a great way to meet and engage with other incoming students, staff and faculty while exploring majors, resources and opportunities here at the U.
Orientation is a great way to meet and engage with other incoming students, staff and faculty while exploring majors, resources and opportunities here at the U. You will also have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with an academic advisor to discuss your interests and goals inside and outside of the classroom, and register for your fall semester courses.

Here are some things to consider when selecting your Orientation date:

  • Orientation is required of all incoming students. Freshman orientation is a two-day experience. Transfer orientation is a one-day experience. You must be able to attend the entirety of your scheduled orientation.

  • The date you are given during sign up is the first available orientation session. If the first date does not work for you, select another date from the calendar on the screen. For freshmen, please keep in mind that this date is when your two-day orientation experience begins.

  • You will not be able to re-enter the sign up database once you have confirmed your date; so, please review your summer schedule and commitments before choosing your date. If you plan to have a parent/guardian accompany you to orientation, please also verify their availability before confirming your date.
