Congratulations! You've gotten through (and hopefully thrived) another semester of your academic career! The CSE advising team has a few tips to help you stay on top of your game during finals.

Be Well: Pace yourself, and keep those stress levels in check with exercise, good diet, healthy sleep habits, and break times between studying. Take a look at our previous blog post on managing stress. Other wellness resources include:

- Effectiveu.umn.edu
- Learntolive.com/partners (enter code "UMN")
- Visiting the RecWell center

Be Prepared: Make sure you have the location details and times of your exams correct. This is where planners and calendars come in handy! Also, be sure you have all supplies you might need (pencils, calculators, additional paper, study sheets, etc.) in order. The schedule for common finals can be found here.

Be Strategic: Practice good time management, and be honest with yourself about your study habits. Check out some of the self-help resources from Student Academic Success Services (SASS). Topics include exam-taking skills and other strategies for academic success.

Of course, we are always here to assist you with additional questions or concerns! Contact your advisor, or visit Advising drop-ins, which are Monday-Friday, 2p-4p in 105 Lind Hall (there will be extended drop-in hours available Wednesday, Dec. 13, 1p-4p).
